Are you keen to experiment with watercolours and try something different? Join the Watercolour and Watermelon workshop for a refreshing take on watercolours alongside the mighty Fitzroy River.

I was born in Budapest, Hungary but lived in Australia for over 30 years. I have completed a Bachelor of Education degree majoring in Visual Arts. I have been an art educator teaching Secondary Visual Arts for over 17 years and recently went part time to devote more time to my own work and running workshops.
My styles and mediums are varied, but most of my artwork currently could fall under the categories of collage and/or assemblage. I have been producing small to medium sized assemblages, preferring to vary my approach when interpreting themes and subjects. When merged with my printmaking, drawings or paintings, they bring unlimited potential. These newly combined elements lead to unexpected assemblages and collages with many stories to tell.

Gail Meyer had a country upbringing that gave her a great opportunity to see and appreciate much colour, texture and beauty in nature. Always aware of shapes and shades in her surroundings, Gail began painting at an early age and benefited greatly from tuition and studies at TAFE Rockhampton.
As a long-standing member of Central Queensland Contemporary Artists, Gail has been involved in many art exhibitions locally and regionally. Gail has numerous paintings in private collections, and Central Queensland University has made an acquisition for their collection. Gail has also enjoyed and valued facilitating many art-related workshops.
