The Rockhampton Regional Library and organisers of the 2019 Adani Rockhampton River Festival are calling on you to bring in a piece of your Rockhampton Region history and tell us its story this June.
We are encouraging all local residents to book a session at the library, bring in a photograph or their favourite piece of paper memorabilia from the Rockhampton Region and tell us why it’s important.
Maybe it’s a photo of you and your dad fishing in the Fitzroy River or an original map from the Mount Morgan mine that was passed down from your grandma; if you have a story and it relates to Rockhampton, then we want you to tell us about it!
We will take a photo or ‘digitise’ your memory, provide you with a copy on a memory stick, audio record your 3 minute story and stitch them all together and play them at key locations at the 2019 Adani Rockhampton River Festival.
Book a session at the Rockhampton local History Library preservation station (which is part of the Southside Library) by calling 4936 8043, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or come in to the Southside Library to make an appointment.
