Published on 31 January 2025
IMPORTANT EVENT ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION
Planning is now underway for Rockhampton’s premier annual event, which will feature a vibrant mix of art exhibitions, cultural activities, live entertainment, and market stalls throughout the Riverside Precinct.
To ensure the safety of the community and event organisers, a series of road closures and traffic management changes will be implemented before, during, and after the Festival.
Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to local businesses and residents. Road closures will be kept to the shortest duration possible and will occur in carefully managed stages to maintain safety and access.

FIREWORKS
Fireworks displays have been planned for the evenings of Saturday July 26, and Sunday July 27.
• Ensure your pets are wearing ID tags and their microchip details are up to date.
• Ensure your pets are exercised and well fed before the fireworks start.
• Keep your animals indoors in a safe, secure and comfortable environment.
• Leave the TV or radio on to mask any sounds if you won't be home.
We appreciate changed traffic conditions and fireworks displays affect businesses and residents in the festival area. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and our personnel will work closely with the community to minimise this.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to exercise caution and observe all signs and traffic directions.
