What does the Rockhampton Little Theatre do?
Now in its seventh consecutive decade of productions, Rockhampton Little Theatre Inc. (RLT) continues to showcase some of the region’s most talented actors and crew. Presenting three productions annually, RLT stages high-quality plays across a variety of genres. All performances take place in the Auditorium of the Walter Reid Cultural Centre (WRCC), located at the corner of East and Derby Streets. This wheelchair-accessible venue features tiered seating and offers an intimate theatrical experience.
For those not drawn to performing, RLT is always eager to welcome new crew members to support the many behind-the-scenes roles essential to each production. Opportunities include set design and construction, props, costumes, sound and lighting, and backstage assistance. Theatre enthusiasts with limited time may prefer joining the vibrant Front of House team, there truly is a role for everyone.
Rehearsals and meetings are held in the club-room at the WRCC, formerly the old climbing space. The committee convenes monthly, except in January, and the Annual General Meeting is held each March.
