Rockhampton River Festival brings together the best of arts, music, culture, and food in Central Queensland’s most vibrant winter festival. Set against the stunning backdrop of Rockhampton’s Riverbank precinct, River Fest showcases the region’s rich natural and built heritage.

Applications for stage shows, art activations, experiences, and roving acts for our 2025 program have closed.

Interested in performing in 2026?

Applications will open in August 2025 for the 2026 festival program. 

We WILL BE seeking submissions for

• Stage Shows: Unique performances in a pop-up Theatre space.
• Art Activations: Engaging installations that bring our riverbank to life.
• Experiences: Interactive programs that immerse festival-goers in new experiences. 
• Roving Acts: Mobile or pop-up performances that surprise and delight across the festival grounds. 

Selection Criteria

• Preference will be given to acts or experiences that complement and enhance the River Fest vibe.
• Consideration of budget and infrastructure requirements for the act, artist, or installation.
