What does Rocky Flix do?

Rocky Flix is Rocky’s film club. They offer monthly screenings of mostly foreign language, independent films and the annual Manhattan Short Film Festival. These films bring the world to Rocky, to entertain, enthral and educate audiences.

Rocky Flix help build community connection and a deeper appreciation of film and the lives of others – and they deliver a great night out in Rocky!  The bar is open before and after the film and tickets include a supper provided by the Rocky Flix committee.

Rocky Flix love their members, but everyone is welcome – please come along and join or just attend when you can. 

When is Rocky Flix usually open?

Rocky Flix screen most months on a Thursday – bar opens 6.15pm, film starts 7pm.

Our most popular screening of the year is Manhattan Shorts. The 2025 Manhattan Short Film Festival will screen on Saturday, 4 October at 3pm and 7pm.

What is Rocky Flix Screening at River Fest?

Rocky Flix will be screening on Saturday 26 July Volumes 7, 8 and 9 of Manhattan Short Film Festival Finalists, 3pm - 9pm. Stay for one short film, or all! A licenced bar and canteen will be operating. 

Founded by independent film makers in Manhattan, New York, the Manhattan Short Film festival has grown to become the world’s first truly global film festivals. Entrants from all around the world enter films (that are automatically eligible for an academy award!) that are then screened simultaneously around the world and voted on by international audiences.
