Welcome to the electrifying celebration of culture, community, and music at the 2025 Rockhampton River Festival!

From July 25th to 27^th 2025, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere as the picturesque backdrop of the Fitzroy River (Tunuba) sets the stage for three days of pure excitement, with each day offering a distinct musical experience!

Get ready to dance and sing the night away alongside an array of talented artists spanning rock, blues and roots, alt, folk, and country.

With the Tunuba Main Stage and the Shipyard Stage hosting an eclectic mix of performances, this free music festival promises the biggest Rockhampton River Festival yet! Festivities kick off with the Country on Quay event on Friday, set to captivate audiences on the Tunuba Stage, with two nights of absolutely jam-packed musical adventure to follow, culminating with a headliner Rocky local's will love on Sunday.

It’s set to be a weekend filled with vibes, fun, and the ultimate celebration of Rockhampton's rich heritage by the riverside.

Shen Panthers

Shen Panthers hail from the small coastal town of Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast, bringing a fresh yet nostalgic energy to the Aussie rock scene.

Pity Vincent

Pity Vincent come screaming down the lines with all the vigour and hell raised in brutal Grunge Rock. The young and heavily mulleted three-piece from the Sunshine Coast are showing us the alternative side to the sunny coast scene.

Tripsitta

Tripsitta are a Burning Man wild storm fully unleashed onto the Australian music scene, with the intensity to match. Drawing their inspiration from the inclusive attitudes and the open minded nature found in Australian counter culture, their music combines classic psychedelic rock with modern indie production and songwriting sensibilities.

Vixens of Fall

Vixens of Fall have left an indelible mark on the country rock scene with their captivating LIVE performances and smooth fusion of entertaining country-rock. Born and raised amidst the vibrant landscapes of Queensland’s Northern sugar cane fields, Nina, Wren and Lulu have carved out a musical legacy that is as sweet, sultry, and wild as their homeland.

Zac Cross Band

With a genre-bending sound and stories that contour the full spectrum of life's highs and lows, Zac Cross Band redefine the heartbeat of Country Rock on their stunning debut album, ‘The Music Lives On’

Rachael Dee & the Freelancers

Rachael has a passion for connecting with people. With an authentic twang you cannot deny her country roots, having been raised in the outback in Central Western Queensland. Collaboration through music and singing has been an ever present outlet throughout her life, and Rachael acknowledges music as a powerful vehicle for expression to reach people of all ages, backgrounds, and stages of life

Daryl James

Multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter, Daryl James fuses heavy blues with the raw Celtic roots of his North Wales homeland. Wielding a wild array of stringed instruments and custom foot percussion, many-a-tall-tale is sparked to life through his captivating live performances.

Ian Mathers

Hailing from Queensland, Australia - Ian Mathers poetic lyrics, undeniably brilliant song writing and wild instrumentation provide deep insight into his philosophy on life and his transformation as a person.

Gabrielle Kerr

Gabrielle Kerr is a rising Bat Prince of folk. Hailing from Kabi Kabi country, the strange raconteur is an old soul watching this new world spin.

Jack Raymond

Occasionally a voice grips you. Makes a song feel like the arrival of an old friend even when you don’t know the words. Jack Raymond has one of those voices. It’s the crackling of a campfire, boots on a gravel road, whisky meets ice. It’s a voice you’ve never heard before but you’ve known it your whole life.

Demi Casha

Demi Casha, a songstress from the Sunshine Coast, QLD, captivates with her unique blend of gum tree rock, indie, and folk sounds. Likened to luminaries like Grace Slick and Jeff Buckley.

Jack Raymond & Demi Casha DUO

Jack Raymond and Demi Casha are two dynamic independent artists whose sounds are as unique as they are captivating. Together, they form a creative force rooted in raw storytelling and emotional connection, drawing listeners into a shared journey through heartfelt melodies and evocative lyrics.

Tom Harrington

Tom Harrington is an indie-folk and country artist, with one of the most dynamic sets you’ll see. His live vocal looping brings an seamless dynamic to beautiful instant harmonies whilst still remaining present and flowing.

Little Quirks

Australian folk-rock song birds Little Quirks produce an unforgettable explosive energy, that transports their audiences into a smile inducing state. With an all female front and youthful love for performing, a fresh unbridled joy emanates in every performance.

The Mudflowers

The Mudflowers are a four-piece band based in Central QLD. Forming in November 2023 blending a range of eclectic influences into a fresh captivating sound.

Average Like Barry

Average Like Barry is a Rockhampton band born on the banks of the mighty Fitzroy (or close by) in the early 2000s. After a twenty year hiatus the boys are back channelling the raw emotion and rebellious spirit of genres such as grunge and alternative rock, they deliver a powerful mix of choons that defined the '80s, '90s, and 2000s.

Thickshake

Drawing inspiration from modern and classic hits from Indie, Pop, Rock even R&B and Hip Hop - Thickshake will have you toe-tapping and swaying along to tunes mixed by inspiration in a delicious blend - just like your favourite flavour of thickshake.

Raining Roses

Raining Roses is a local rock/pop band with a large repertoire of original music and well known covers. The band members all have over 15+ years of experience performing across Queensland. Their sound has evolved from country/blues to more alternative rock and pop influences. The original music they are currently working on is inspired by artists like Alanis Morrissette, No Doubt and Joan Jett.

New Nectar

New Nectar has caused a stir in the local music scene with their brand new, debut EP, released only recently on all streaming platforms.

Larren Bean

Larren Bean embraces the soul of a nomadic troubadour, weaving melodic tales and good vibes through carefully chosen country and rock classics, and adding a healthy dose of Americana and roots music with his original music. Combining decades of performing, and a vast and eclectic songbook, Larren’s performances are guaranteed to be energetic and entertaining.

Kate Mahood

Blending folk stylings and country storytelling, Kate Mahood's songs portray an honesty and vulnerability that resonate deeply with her listeners.

The Short Fall

The Short Fall is the alias of Central Queensland based singer-songwriter Angelo Conway, who walks effortlessly through the realms of alternative, indie, pop & folk rock to create a catalogue of guitar-driven songs laden with vocal harmonies, catchy hooks and a hint of melancholy.

The Urban Sea

Well-known around the live music venues and dive bars of Brisbane, The Urban Sea have been making waves with their unique blend of indie soul and rock. A genre-fluid melting pot of influences, The Urban Sea is renowned for their huge live sound and songs that resonate with fans across the musical spectrum.

Paper Lane

Paper Lane is a Brisbane based indie rock band. Since their formation in early 2023, Paper Lane has swiftly asserted themselves as a significant presence in the vibrant South East Queensland music scene.

Long Way Home

Long Way Home is made up of Sunshine Coast locals Will Outridge and Savannah Murphy. An independent folk duo, their music is heavily influenced by their hometown’s easy-going, coastal culture.

Yeppoon Ukulele Movement

The YUM band represents a Yeppoon-based ukulele club whose aim is to promote the enjoyment of music by bringing people together to play ukulele. Expect a repertoire of popular songs from the 1950's, 60's and 70's through to contemporary times. Their aim is to have fun and provide entertainment.

Olivia Ruth

Olivia Ruth has been a rising star in the music industry for over a decade. They are renowned for delivering electrifying live performances that captivate audiences and leave them in sheer awe. Their performances promise an unforgettable and unique experience that resonates with diverse audiences, showcasing a seamless blend of tradition and innovation.

Chill Hill

Chill Hill is a four-piece indie rock band from the Capricorn Coast. These elegantly-haired blokes are ready to rock their first River Fest with their guitar-driven original sound inspired by the likes of The Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Hockey Dad and Australian Crawl.
