Weathered is the moniker of Queensland-native Upile Mkoka. Presenting dreamy, atmospheric tones in his nu-folk music, the multi-instrumentalist is a natural performer, penning songs well past his years. His personal approach to writing brought to life through folk sounds has created something totally unique.

With 4x EPs under his belt, two tours, countless shows (with the likes of Icehouse, Busby Marou, ILLY, Alison Wonderland, RUFUS DU SOL, Ash Grunwald, Fiona Bevan, Brad Butcher and more) and festivals in between, Weathered returns to the stage with his highly-anticipated debut album “Until This Love is All That Remains” that he co-produced with Mark Myers (Aria-Nominated producer, 4x QMA winner, ex-The Middle East).

His unique sounds have been capturing the hearts of listeners for a number of years now garnering airplay on TripleJ, ABC Qld and other community stations across the country, not to mention an influx of streams through Spotify playlists and the likes. His live show is even more captivating - bringing the songs to life in their own way and taking the audience on a journey from applause and sing-along's to intimate moments left speechless and teary-eyed.

With his hard work and deft songwriting, the troubadour has cemented his position as one of North Queensland’s finest. It's clear to see that Upile is certainly pioneering a sound for the region and beyond.
