Artist Statement

Six giant interconnected archways ablaze with vibrant colours, each inspired by the timeless accordion.

Crafted from illuminated steel rings and adorned with vividly printed fabrics, these archways transform into dynamic formations beckoning all to walk through. At the base of each accordion lies an interactive pad; with each joyful leap, the artwork springs to life, weaving melodies that cascade through waves of light and colour along its towering form.

Step into this symphony of senses, where every movement becomes a dance of music and illumination, inviting all to partake in its harmonious embrace.

Accordion can be seen during River Fest, from Friday 25 July to Sunday 27 July. For the best experience, come after dark (after 5:30pm).
